March 29 1930 - Notable Passengers
The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by L. D. Douglas, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on March 29th, 1930. On this crossing the ship would call at Honolulu.
The ship carried a passenger list of 390 aboard with 75 Saloon Class, 25 Second Class, 40 Third Class and 250 Steerage.
