The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. V. R. Lovegrove, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on March 9th, 1935.
A passenger list of 200 was reported.
Included were five aviators from the Central School of Flying at Hangchow returning to China from a visit to the United States and Europe where they studied aviation.
