November 3 1934 - Notable Passengers
The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. V. R. Lovegrove, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on November 3rd, 1934. The ship carried 250 passengers in all classes and a heavy cargo.
It was noted that a large number of passengers were travelling Third Class; likely travelers en route to the Far East for New Year’s festivities.
