January 26 1925 - Notable Passengers
The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by L. D. Douglas, concluded a Pacific crossing upon reaching Vancouver on January 26th, 1925. Rough seas off the British Columbia coast caused the ship’s arrival to be delayed eight hours. A passenger list of 400 was reported with 150 First Class, 150 Second Class and 100 in steerage. A capacity cargo was reported including a large shipment of silk valued at $4,000,000.00

trip after being overhauled at Hong Kong.
